Barbara Jean Waters was born March 3, 1953, in Long Beach, California to the union of Geraldine Broadis and Melvin Hughes which have preceded her in death. She was the youngest of the two.
Barbara was raised in Long Beach, Ca and was educated in the Long Beach Unified School District attending Hughes Junior high school and later attended Long Beach Polytechnic high school. Barbara later attended Long Beach City College where she received her certification in Nursing. She later continued her education at Bryman College and received her Registered Nurse certification.
Barbara received Christ many years ago at New Hope Baptist church in Long Beach, California. Barbara was a workaholic, I know she had more friends from the work place than anywhere else, that was her. Some people may know her as the feisty one (lol)…. Barbara has left memories that no one will ever forget, rather she was talking trash to you, helping you with something, partying with you, or just being a friend to you keep those memories.
Barbara departed her life on Saturday May 11, 2013, in Downey, California. She leaves to mourn her sister Lovie Renee Fuller of Long Beach, CA, daughter Richeen M. Fields of Downey, CA, and granddaughter Desiree N. Esqueda of Downey, CA, 3 nieces LaTanya Fuller of Corona, CA, Lachelle (Greg) Archie of Long Beach, CA and Michelle Fuller of Long Beach, CA, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many many friends.
