Her Life Story


Bernadette McAllister was born in Fayetteville, NC on May, 27, 1967 to the union of Mary Magdalene and Harold E. McAllister.

Bernadette lived in Fayetteville, NC and graduated from Cape Fear High School. Shortly after, she became married to the love of her life and became Bernadette Smith. She began to work at K&W Cafeteria for many years.

Later Bernadette moved to California. She then obtained a position as a Food Service Deli Manager at Ralphs Grocery Store where she worked for over 14 years.

Bernadette made a host of friends in Fayetteville, NC and California. She had a very big sensitive heart for anyone that would come in her presence. The warmth of love and kindness showered over her. Her smile and laughter would light up a room and would capture your heart. She was a strong believer that God will always make a way.

Bernadette is preceded in death by her bother Harold McAllister of Fayetteville, NC.

Bernadette leaves to miss her dearly her mother Mary Magdalene McAllister of Fayetteville, NC; father Harold E. McAllister of Stanford, CT; adopted daughters Crystal G. McAllister of California and April D. McAllister Simmons of Fayetteville, NC; brother Darrell C. McAllister, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC; sisters Shelia D. Lock of Fayetteville, NC, Loretta McAllister of Fayetteville, NC, Vicky L. McAllister of Fayetteville, NC and baby sister Christina O. McAllister of San Diego, CA; auntie Ruth Roundtree; uncle Cyrus Roundtree and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends that hold her memory in high spirits.
