Celebration of Life

"For I am now ready to be offered and the time of my departure
is at hand." II Timothy 4:6

Bessie M. Casey was born August 30, 1929 to George and Lillie B. Casey in Greensboro, Alabama.

At the age of eighteen, Bessie was baptized in Jesus Name and filled with the precious Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues in Sawyer Ville, Alabama.

Bessie received her formal education in Alabama. Around 1950 she relocated to California where she joined the rest of her family. If you knew Bessie, it was clear she loved to work. She began her career as a Dietician working for the Veterans Hospital in Long Beach for forty years and then she retired. On December 27, 1975, she met and married James C. Harrison, and to this union no children were born.

After relocating to California, she placed her membership at Bethlehem Temple Church, in Los Angeles under the leadership of the late Bishop William L. Smith. She was a faithful member of the Bethlehem Temple Church. Bessie later transferred her membership to Peace Apostolic Church, where she worked as a committed and dedicated Baptismal Worker with Evang. Barbara Beebe as her Auxiliary Leader. Bessie was always at church serving and helping wherever she was able until her health began to fail her. Bessie loved her Pastor and truly loved the Lord Jesus Christ and believed that everything should be done decently and in order, including her transition.

Bessie was preceded in death by her brother, Jule E. Casey, Sr. and her husband, James C. Harrison.

Bessie leaves to forever cherish her memories, her two nephews; Jule E. Casey, Jr. (Rhonda), William H. Casey, two nieces; Gloria Ware and husband, Dora Dorsey (Milton). Also, a host of great and grand nieces and nephews along with her Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus, her Pastor and 1st Lady, Bishop Howard A. and Patricia A. Swancy and her Peace Apostolic Church Family.

Remember only what you do for Christ will last!
