Mr. Bobby James Morgan was born on February 2, 1942. To the parents Eugene Morgan and Colorado Harris of Camden, Arkansas.

He confessed Christ at an early age attending his local community church. He moved to California as a young man from there enlisted in the United States Marines in 1960. He served his country proud for four years leaving the Marines with a honorable discharge in 1964. Bobby would come to meet and befriend Valine Duckett of Richmond Ca. Although they would never marry from this union his only child Arthur Renee was born.

Deciding not to make California his home he would move to Las Vegas, Nevada where he married Verlene Daniels although this marriage ended they remained friends until her untimely death.

His life would offer him many experiences from driving Semi trucks to owning Morgan's Trucking his own trucking company as well as working in Sanitation for the city of Las Vegas for over 20 years.

He would later make his home in the city of Philadelphia, PA. Where he subcontracted buildings from the United States Government to service through his janitorial business.

After becoming seriously ill he returned to California, first moving to Los Angeles then later making Long Beach, CA his permitted home.

With his love for Christ embedded in him as a child Bobby would visit many churches however he would choose St. John's Missionary Baptist Church to Worship and Praise, where he became a member.

He had a love for many things especially jazz music this love would lead him to playing his trumpet and sharing this passion with family and friends. He was loved by many and will be terribly missed.

His home going was Sunday, January 1,2017 he leaves to cherish his memory: His loving daughter and son in law Mrs. Arthur Renee Smith and Mr. Samuel Demetrius Smith of Downey, CA; 4 grandchildren, Donnika Shanae Gordon of Atlanta, GA, Terrance Adonis Gordon, Jr. of Richmond, CA, Ayanna Demetria Smith and Aamari D. Smith both of Downey, CA.; 2 great grandchildren, Stevie Janae Jackson and Stevoni Jackson both of Atlanta, GA; 3 brothers Earl Morgan of Camden, AR, Henry Beavers of Richmond, CA, Bob Morgan of Chicago, IL; 2 sisters Carolyn Smith James of Pinole, CA, Reola Green of Corona, CA, a very special cousin Victoria Barnett of Corona, CA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
