Dorothy Ann Johnson was born on January 14, 1957 in Long Beach, California to the parents of Clenso and Laura Johnson. She departed this life on May 3, 2013 at the age of 56.

Dorothy attended Long Beach Polytechnic Senior High School before transferring to Reid High School where she received her High School diploma in 1974.

Most people knew her best as Dottie Mae for always putting her family first. She worked hard in the field of serving others as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Activities Director, Medical Records Director and Administrator in various Nursing facilities until the age of 36, when her health started to decline. She was spiritual, funny, outgoing and most important a loving mother.

She accepted Christ as a youth under the leadership of Elder Johnson where she was a member of the choir. She later became a member of Great Deliverance under the leadership of Elder Bryant, where she worked with the youth.

Dorothy was preceded in death by both parents and 5 siblings (3 brothers and 2 sisters). She leaves to cherish her memories son Andrew and daughter-in-law Glenda (VA); daughters Tam (Ontario) and Ronda (VA); 5 grandchildren Asianai, Breyah, Andrew, Jr., Ann'Yale and Andre; 3 brothers Delano, Maurice, Darrel and sister-in-law Vatisha (Antioch) and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
