Mrs. Elaine Knuckles was a native of New Orleans, LA. She was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Williams of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Elaine was married to the late Edward Knuckles and preceeded in death by her brother Charles Williams Jr. She has two surviving sisters , Carol Williams and Edna Husband along with one surviving brother Marvin Williams. She departed this life on January 23, 2013 after a lenghty illness.
Elaine knew the lord at an early age and was baptized at Mt.Carmel Baptisit church in New Orleans. She used her talents in church choirs in many states as well as Long Beach,California lovingly giving her time to sing in many weddings and funerals for others. She was a memeber of New Hope Baptist Church.
As a child she gave tireless hours to autistic and less fortunate children to whom she instilled love and self worth . She taught many to sing and formed choirs and singing groups everywhere she went. She also formed a group called the Turquinetts consisting of her sister and a friend. They were back up singers for various New Orleans artists. She sang in clubs in New Orleans and in Long Beach. She was known as Teedah to over a hundred neices and nephews. With her outspoken ways and humor she brought smiles and laughs to family,friends,strangers and her doctors and nurses .Before her passing Elaine was taught about the kingdom and had no fear of death.
