On May 1, 2026, God spoke to Eunice and said, “Well done my good and faithful servant”, welcome to my kingdom.
Eunice Ritchie was the fourth child of eleven born to Mr. Mance Columbus Campbell, Sr. and Mrs. Inez Sims Campbell in Isney, Alabama. Eunice attended elementary school at Emory Carroll, Melvin, Alabama. She obtained her high school diploma from Long Beach City College, Adult Education Department, Long Beach, California. Eunice accepted Christ at an early age by joining Gin Creek Baptist Church, H. J. Rowe, Pastor, where she served as a faithful member. Eunice moved to California and later joined Christ Second Baptist Church of Long Beach, under the leadership of Reverend Herman H. Gore, Senior Pastor. Eunice was a faithful attendee of Sunday school and worship service. She devoted herself to serving Christ through various roles within the church dutifully executing tasks assigned by the church leadership. Later she became an active member of the Christ Second Baptist Senior Usher Board, the Providence District Usher Board and the National United Church Ushers Association of America. She became a Certified Usher graduating as the 1996-97 class valedictorian. She truly loved servicing the Lord and was dedicated to all the organizations she assisted including: Willing Workers, Mission Clothing Give Away Store and the Inspirational Chorus. Even when her health began to fail, preventing her from attending in person, Eunice remained devoted, reading her bible daily and reflecting on God’s goodness. She loved holding “cluster sessions” validating her discussions by quoting scripture.
In her leisure time, Eunice was an avid gardener engaging in a friendly competition with her cousin, Sena. They swapped tips and kept a few secrets to see who could grow the prettiest garden.
