Eva Nadean Wade, née Solomon, late of Long Beach, California, passed away

on January 11, 2026, at home with her husband, following a long battle with cancer.

Eva was born on January 26, 1978, in Los Angeles, California to Gordon and Judy Solomon. Eva was a single child, with a large extended family of uncles and cousins. She graduated from Herbert Hoover High School in 1996 and completed her Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies at California State University, Dominguez Hills, in 2014. After graduating, Eva became a substitute teacher for Cypress School District and Savanna School District in Orange County, California, where she was able to touch the lives of many students, administrators, and teachers. Her passion for her work was evident, and her enthusiastic work with students was especially meaningful. It made Eva's day when she was able to help a student make a breakthrough. Her students loved having her as a sub, and she loved her time teaching students and learning from fellow teachers.

Eva has always been a very spiritual person, and that was evident in all aspects of her life.  Eva served her mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Montana, from 1999-2001. Eva's parents died after her mission, and she always talked about wanting to be reunited with them, after she died. Many of the conversations while Eva was in hospice were about her love of the family who had died before her, and her joy at seeing them again.  Eva was married and sealed to her husband, Christopher Michael Wade, on September 1, 2006, in The Los Angeles Temple of the Latter Day Saints. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, from her baptism at eight years old, until the day she died. Everyone who knew Eva, understood that her faith was the center of the life she lived and the grace with which she chose to die.

Loving, caring, and kind, Eva was deeply compassionate, always prioritizing others and helping those around her. She was fun to be around, and it felt as though everyone who met her loved her. Eva kept herself busy supporting her family and loved ones, caring for her beloved cats, and being an aunt. She is survived by many children who called her Aunt Eva, especially Bentley, Aidon, Wyatt, Mazilen, and Laurelei, who will all miss her deeply. Many people were able to come and talk with Eva, share memories and say goodbye, during her time on hospice, and those conversations were precious to Eva and those who were privileged to be a part of them. She was a shining light, even as her body was losing its fight.

Traveling with her husband, and friends, brought Eva so much joy. She especially cherished a cruise she took with Chris, for their 16th anniversary, where they made lifelong friends and created more unforgettable Disney memories together. She also enjoyed trips to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm, throughout her life. She enjoyed understanding the parks and their secrets, and giving unique ideas to tourists, so that they could enjoy their time at the parks. Many friends, who became Eva's found family. Her best friend from childhood, Marisa Lloyd, was a chosen sister, who will miss Eva deeply. She also adopted Jennifer Greene, Jan Lueders and Julia Haynie as the sisters who she had always dreamed of having as a child. All will miss Eva at the heart-deep levels that comes with losing a sister.

While she loved visiting new places, Eva was always happy to return to her home as well. Eva was an avid 5k runner and completed 40 races before turning 40, always picking ones that supported meaningful causes. She was a fan of going to musicals and plays, as well as crocheting.

Eva is survived by her husband, Chris Wade, a large extended family and dear friends. A memorial service for Eva will be held on January 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints, 17660 Carpintero Avenue, Bellflower, CA 90706-7023.
