Evelyn Gayle Elliott Howard was born April 8, 1928, to William and Euna Elliott in Camden, Arkansas. She was the 8th child born to this union; where she was added to an existing family of seven sisters and brothers.
Gayle left Arkansas and moved to California in 1947. There she met and married Ernest George Howard, who preceded her in death. From that union two sons and one daughter was born.
Gayle was a loyal and diligent worker for Loof's Lite-Line at the Pike for over 25 years. Gayle was a happy person. She loved to laugh and always had a beautiful smile on her face. She was gifted with the Spirit of helping others. She was there for her family and friends whenever needed. Gayle loved the Lord and loved being in the house of the Lord. She was an absolute joy to all those who knew her. She will, without a doubt, be greatly missed.
Gayle's parents and 15 of her siblings preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memories her sons Sidney and Lester; daughter Portia; daughter-in-law Debi; two grandchildren Omar and Akilah; two sisters Theodora Gentry and Virginia Washington and a host of many nieces, nephews and other close family members and friends.
