Obituary

Johnnie Thompson was born to the late Willie and Lizzie Thompson on June 1, 1934 in Prentiss, Mississippi. Johnnie was baptized at an early age at Spring Viewla Church in Mississippi.

Johnnie Joined the United States Navy in 1955. While serving in the Navy; he moved to California in 1956. After meeting the love of his life, he was united in holy matrimony to Bobbie Jean Allen on March 12, 1958. To this union four children were born.

Johnnie retired from Cormier Chevrolet after 29 years. Everyone loved to hang out at Johnnie's house. In 2005 his health started to decline.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife Bobbie, son John Thompson, daughter Elizabeth and two brothers Jesse and Bufford.

Johnnie leaves to cherish his special memories two daughters Wannetta and Lynette of Long Beach, CA; six sisters Willie Mae of Prentiss, MS, Lillie Mae and Nell (Matthew) of McComb, MS, Carolyn of Las Vegas, NV, Sandra Faye and Denny Kay of Texas; two brothers James and Earley of McComb, MS; brother-in-law Virgil of Tennessee; three sisters-in-law Debbie, Nancy and Bonnie Sue of San Diego, CA; eight grandchildren; one which was very special and raised from an infant John Thompson, Jr., Steven, Dexter, Kawana, Ja'ta, Osha'tae, Ty'Janae and Jonesha; five great grandchildren; three devoted friends Patrick, Irene and Melvina; Goddaughters Sherry, Barbara, Candace, Mishawn, Tyler; Godsons J.J. Marsh, Gregory Hall, Jr. and Louie, Jr. and a host of other relatives and friends.
