Visitation: Monday, May 4, 2015 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Long Beach Colonial Mortuary.

Service: Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. John Baptist Church: 741 E. 10th Street; Long Beach, CA 90813.

Interment: Riverside National Cemetery at 2:15 pm; 22495 Van Buren Blvd; Riverside, CA 92518.

Obituary

Gone to soon and forever missed, Johnny (John)  is a  now in the arms of the angels. Johnny was born May 6, 1946 in Mobile, AL to the union of Percy and Eliza. He was preceded in death by both parents; sister Rosie Keeler Wyer; brothers James Watts and Percy P. Flennory Jr. all of Pensacola, Florida and nieces Yvonne Watts and Denise Wyer.

He was a faithful brother and loving father. He earned his education at Springhill College, Mobile, AL and various other training and special crafts schools.  Johnny served his country during the Vietnam Crisis from 1965 to 1970 in the USA Army and worked in a private sector in many capacities during his civilian life. To his credit, he was the owner of his own private detective agency. He was a member of Sweet Bethel Church,  Coden, AL. During his early years was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church Mobile, AL. Where he was baptized.  Johnny 13, (as he was affectionately known) is highly respected and loved.

Johnny leaves to cherish his memory two ex-wives Theresa Flennory and Gloria Peters; three children Latonna Turner (Kenneth) of Columbia, MO and Dwonieca Flennory-Peters of Chicago, IL and one son John A. Flennory Jr. (Lydia) of Kirksville, MO; God son Nathan; a beloved and devoted brother Willie (Bill) Flennory; brothers Gregory Flennory Walker (Sharon) of Mobile, AL and Percy Pettaway- Flennory of New York; sisters Altherias Hanson Mayfield of Mobile, AL, Terazzah Zamora of Pensacola, FL, Eva Gordon, and Mary McCoy of Long Beach, CA; nine grandchildren Desmon, Deasia and Drew Turner, Sonora Renshaw, Tyra, Ambria, Deron, Kayden Flennory and Chalana Wilcox; great grandchildren Amor'e Crew and Giovanni Wilcox and a host of nieces and nephews an numerous devoted friends and relatives.
