Kathleen Rosena Rogers was born on September 29, 1922 in Basseterre, St. Kitts in the British West Indies to Leontine Ruan and Joseph Gumbs.

Kathleen was married to Alva Rogers in December 1954 and to this union seven children were born, five girls and two boys.

Kathleen dedicated her life to the strict upbringing of her children.

Kathleen was related to the Rogers, Hodges, Websters, Gumbs, Reys, Ruans and the Richardsons throughout the Caribbean and the USA.

Kathleen leaves to cherish her memories her children Dorcity, Roy, Curry, Bernadine, Conrad, Paulette and Tina Rogers; brother-in-law James "Hignette" Rogers; granddaughters Marisa, Keisha, Arisa, Khrysten, Kathleen, Marlequa Harrigan and Anjalique Nisbett; grandsons Roy Jr., Chapman, Marvin, Carlos Carty, Matthew and Mark Harrigan Jr. and Cordel Richardson; daughters-in-law Joan Rogers, Joanna Rogers and Bittsey Rogers; sons-in-law Claudius Phipps, Mark Harrigan, Collins Carty and Mervil Nisbett; fifteen great-granddaughters and seven great-grandsons; special cousins Ethel Rey and family, and Claris Sasso and family; and a host of other relatives and friends.
