Kenneth (Kenny) Earl Patrick was born November 10, 1952 in Memphis, Tennessee to the union of Alfred and Dorothy Patrick. When Kenny was four years old, his family relocated to Long Beach, CA where he graduated from high school. Kenny was the third eldest of five children and was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings: Alphonso, Tyrone and Donna. Kenny was introduced to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Apostolic Faith Home Assembly in Los Angeles in the late 1970's. In September of 1970, Kenny met Theresa, the love of his life. They were united in Holy Matrimony the following summer. To this union, there children were born. KaTina and Okema were the first two girls. Kenny always wanted a boy but accepted reality and with his last chold he said if the baby wasn't a boy, she would have to be born on his birthday and share his name. Thus, Kentrese (part of Kenny's and Theresa's names) was born on November 10, 1980. Kenny worked for the City of Long Beach, Street Tress Division as a tree trimmer. He was a certified arborist and supervisor for 37 years. He loved sports and was actively involved in fishing, hunting, shooting pool and a die hard Green Bay Packers fan. He also loved playing his conga's. During the 80's and 90;s Kenny was the treasurer of Debonair productions; a non-profit organization designed to offer entertainment for the community and provide scholarships for higher education. After retirement Kenny joined a group of retired Domino players and enjoyed their weekly gatherings. Kenny was loved by everyone. He was a father to many who didn't have their own. A perfectionist and mentor to all. He loved the family BBQ's and gatherings and was always the life of the party. Kenny could tell a story from years past with so much animation; you felt you were right there when it happened. Kenny and Theresa have shared numerous cruises around the U.S. from Hawaii to Alaska, Niagara Falls and numerous islands in the East, West and Southern Caribbean. He loved to share quality time with his grandkids, daughters, sons-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. He leaves to mourn his wife of 42 years, Theresa; three daughters: KaTina (Amos, Jr.) Cannon, Okema Holmes and Kentrese (Ramon) McCree; one brother, Jarvis Patrick (Beverly); two sisters-in-law: Linda Holden-Georgia and Jacqueline Patrick; one aught, Earline Williams of Memphis, TN; four nephews: Shawn (Lakesia) Georgia, Marquis Partrick, Tabari (Tisha) White and Jarvis Patrick II; five nieces: Tonyette Georgia, Timeka Patrick, Monique Tennessee, Shiesha (Torrance) Toomer and Tukiya Stocking; seven grandchildren: Kenneth (Ronnisha) Howard, Kiaerra dn Tatiana Howard, Travion , Justin and Kemora Holmes, Ramond McCree and one great grandchild expected soon; two great nephews: Dominique Williams and Tabari White, Jr.; three great nieces: Marche'Bre and Heaven Williams, Zhania White and a host of other family and friends.
