On the afternoon of July 26, 2013, the Lord called an angel to escort our mother, Linda Fay Hill home to Heaven to be with Him.

She was born to the late Pastor W. L. and Hattie Lee Brooks, Sr. on January 3, 1956. She was united at an early age with Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Long Beach, California under the leadership of the Late Pastor Frank C. Washington. Later, she came to worship at St. James Missionary Baptist Church where her father was called to Pastor on November 1, 1970. She was a faithful worker at St. James Missionary Baptist Church where she served as one of the Senior Choir members singing one of her favorite songs "Come on Children Let's Get Together and Lift up Jesus." She attended Wilson High School where she graduated June 1973. She was united in Holy Matrimony with Allen Payton Sr. in May 1974 in Long Beach, California, to this union two daughters and one son were born. She later was united in Holy Matrimony to Billy Lee Hill Jr. in December 2000. And to this union one daughter was born. On January 4, 2008, God saw fit to call Brother Billy Lee Hill Jr. home. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and sister.

She leaves to mourn her three daughters Yalonda (James) Henry of Moreno Valley, CA, Juanita Payton and Kara Hill of Long Beach, CA; one son Allen Payton Jr. (Mia) of Long Beach, CA; six grandchildren Alicia Graves, Robert Graves Jr., Daijanae Sutton, Adrian Sutton, Alexander Payton and Da'launi Banks; two sisters Rosetta (Leroy) Edwards of Lancaster, CA and Alma J.
