Obituary
Mamie W. Richey (also known as Tiny) was born on April 15, 1955 to father Avery an mother Mildred Lee Richie. She is survived by her son Timothy Reed, her only child; her sisters: Minnie Pearl Carter and Rebecca Richey; her brother, Avery L. Richey; her grandkids: Tim, Timisha, Tyquan, Abresha and Abrianna; several nieces and nephews and host of other family and friends.
Tiny grew up in Mississippi but she always wanted a better future for her family, so she decided to come with her sisters to California. They eventually settled in Long Beach, CA
Although Tiny was a career woman, she loved her son dearly and dedicated her time to him by being caring, loving and a wonderful mother. She wanted the best so she began working for Long Beach Transit in the 1980's. She was a devoted Christian who had faith in God and served her church. Moreover, she was a people person who loved to please everyone and make them happy. She always loved to help and give to others. Her soul will be missed greatly by her son, family, friends and loved ones.
Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Park 1500 E. San Antonio Dr., Long Beach, CA.
