The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. Mary F. Williams was born on January 25, 1927 as (Mary Frances Jenkins) in Hastings, Florida to Jo Cary Jenkins and Perlie Griffin, both whom have preceded her in death. Mary went to school in Hastings, Florida but only finished the 9th grade because she had to work in the fields of Florida and lower New York State in order to provide for her son and help the rest of the family.

In 1946 Mary married Willie Williams (then in the US Navy), came to California where she did house work (cleaning & ironing) for some years while her husband was in the service.

Mary departed this world on July 7, 2014 and will be missed dearly by family and friends but will be in our hearts forever.

Mary is preceded in death by two of her children daughter Teresa Williams and son Willie James Williams and one sister and two brothers.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories her son Jerry Hires and daughter-in-law Gloria Hires; granddaughter La'Shelle Hudson and son-in-law Richard Hudson; granddaughters Arnetta Welch, Donna Reed, Denise Williams and Shanae Williams; grandsons Jerry Hires, Jr., Richard Hudson (Cup Cake), Willie Williams, Jr., Kelvin Williams, Curtis Williams, Clarence Williams, Bernard Williams and Alford Williams; great grandchildren Tanzania Jones, De-Ojeon Howard, Kierra and Keshawn Edmonds; grandsons-in-law Edwin Carter, Sr., Markee Carter, Sr., Markee Carter, Jr., Edwin Carter, Jr. and the "Twins" and a host of other relatives and friends.
