IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nathella
Williams
February 20, 1931 – January 25, 2023
On February 20, 1931, the Lord delivered twins, a beautiful baby girl and a handsome baby boy
to Berry and Susie Tucker. They affectionately named their precious bundles of joy Nathella and
Nathaniel. Nathella was blessed to have a house full of loving siblings, Richard, Marie, Ethel,
Mason, Nathaniel and Ozella. Nathella was raised in Haskell, Oklahoma, where she attended
Booker T. Washington school. Her education continued at the famous HBCU Langston University,
Langston, Oklahoma, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Education. Several years later,
she received her Master's degree at Northeastern State College, Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She was
a proud member of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and a faithful Booker T. Washington alumni
member.
Nathella met and married the love of her life, Clarence Henry Williams. To this union, three beautiful daughters were born, Kassaundra, Charita and Seqwendolyn. She adored her family. Her daughters were raised with tender loving care. After the death of her husband and his transition to Glory, she continued to make sure that her three children had the very best that life offered.
Nathella gave her life to Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church,
Haskell, Oklahoma. She carried many roles as the Lord led her. She had a special heart for the
youth of the church. She served as Youth Choir Director, Youth Production Coordinator, Holiday
Presentation Speaker and Organizer and Vacation Bible School Teacher and Assistant. She was
also an active member of the adult choir, where she often led some of her favorite gospel songs.
Her love of music was evident in many ways. She loved singing, and was on program
occasionally with her personal piano recitals. She introduced the love of music to her daughters.
They all participated in Haskell's school marching band, became drum majorettes and played
piano in church for the youth and adult choirs.
She started her elementary teaching career at Booker T. Washington school Haskell, Oklahoma.
She also taught at Mary White Elementary, Haskell, Oklahoma before taking her excellent
teaching skills to Dunbar Elementary, Tulsa, Oklahoma. She retired from Lindbergh Elementary,
Tulsa, Oklahoma, after faithfully serving her beloved students for 30 years. She taught generations of family children and loved every minute of being a part of molding lives for a greater good.
Nathella was loving, kind, and always willing to help her fellow brothers and sisters. She
encouraged so many to always strive for their absolute best in every endeavor. She had two
bonus daughters, Venetta Draper and Tonya Kimble, whom she helped raise right along with her
three daughters. There was plenty of love and, training and fun in the Williams house. You
would often see her around town stopping to speak to everyone she knew. If she was not on
one of her walks, you would find her with her special son, Andre Kimble drinking coffee or out
running the streets. Georgia Benson and the Benson family were very special friends and
neighbors. They were always available as needed and only a few steps away.
When her health began to require more care and personal attention, she moved to California to
live with her daughter Seqwendolyn where she was always taken care of with tender love and
dedication. She was also cared for by many excellent Healthcare providers.
On Wednesday, January 25, 2023, Nathella transitioned from labor to her new heavenly home
to join her beloved husband, parents and siblings who preceded her in eternal rest. She leaves
to cherish her memory, her loving daughters, Kassaundra Patterson (Haskell, Oklahoma); Charita McNeely (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma); Seqwendolyn Johnson (Los Angeles, California); a stepson Henry Eugene Williams (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma), two bonus sons Vinton Johnson (Pleasant Hill,California) and Andre Kimble (Tulsa, Oklahoma); two bonus daughters Venetta Draper (Memphis, Tennessee) and Tonya Kimble (Haskell, Oklahoma) 10 grand-children, who affectionately called her Nana and her granddog Buddy Johnson, along with a host of great-grand children, nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends.
