On Sunday, March 13, 2016 God sent an angel to tell Pamelia it was time to come home, and she adhered to his call.
Pamelia Yvette Ward-Henderson was born July 7, 1971 in Los Angeles, California to John Perry Ward and Barbara Jean Ward. Out of this union there were three children, which Pamelia was the third of. In August 1971, Pamelia was baptized at St. Emydius Catholic Church in Lynwood, California by Father O'Conner. There, she made her first Communion and Confirmation.
As a child she attended Washington Elementary School, Hosler Middle School, and finally Lynwood High School. When she successfully completed high school Pamelia attended and graduated from El Camino College. She continued her education when she transferred to Compton College.
On July 12, 1991, Dominique Perry Wright was born to Pamelia, her first son. Later that year she met Shonte Henderson. On October 3, 1996, another son was born to Shonte and Pamelia. They named him Shonte Deon Henderson Jr. On August 11, 2001, Her first daughter, Paejah Treeja Henderson, was born on her father and mother's anniversary. Finally and miraculously, on January 23, 2012, their last child, Jaylyn Divine Henderson, was brought into this world. Shonte and Pamelia loved each other to death for 24 amazing years.
Pamelia was a work-a-holic. She worked at many different companies but she always wanted better. She started working security and made that her foundation. She was a petrochemical repairer and a trainer for Shell employees. They loved her there for her helpfulness, intelligence, and integrity. In 2007 she made employee of the year out of 1,000 other technicians. She was very loving to all. Later on she was laid off. She then moved on to CH Robinson, where she became an Administrative Receptionist in Los Angeles. She worked there until she discovered her illness through her pregnancy in 2011.
On Sunday, March 13, 2016, she was called home. She proceeded in death by her grandmother Agnes Williams, grandfather Herman Davenport and mother-in-law Ora Dell Young.
Pamelia leaves to cherish her memory for many lifetimes, husband Shonte Henderson Sr.; mother Barbara Ward; father John Ward Jr.; three sons Dominique Wright, Shonte Henderson Jr. and Jaylyn Henderson; daughter Paejah Henderson; two brothers John Ward III and Michael Ward; aunts Almeta Washington, Patricia Williams, Leslie Kelly, Sophie Young; Kim Young Latanya Young and Mary; uncles Jerome Robinson, Henry Williams, Thomas Ward, Jerry Ward, James Robinson and Michael Williams; cousin Latriana Ward; 9 nieces; 9 nephews; 5 grand nieces; 3 grand nephews; best friends Wanda Jacobs and Marylyn Mitchel and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
