Princess Finesta Baptiste was born on June 28, 1949 in Birmingham, Alabama to her mother, Datie Mae Lewis and father, Yancy Elvin Lewis, Jr. She was the youngest of her two sibling, Elvin Lewis, Sr. who preceded her in death and Johnny Lewis, Sr.
Princess was a member of the Gardena Valley Church of Christ for several years. Princess's sons' fondest memory of their mother was listening to her sing. She was very much loved and will be missed dearly.
Princess leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Anthony James Garland, Sr. and William Baptiste; seven grandchildren, Anthony James Garland, Jr., Lavon Yancy Garland, Meco Blue, Rene Goldsmith, Jamal Jeron Garland, Raniya Princess Garland and Jackson Russell Baptiste; two great-grandchildren, Anthony Kamryn Garland and Myra Marcelle Garland; brother, Johnny Lewis Sr; Daughter-in-law, Gena Lee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
Service: Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:00 at Gardena Valley Church of Christ; 1842 W. Gardena, CA.
