Obituary
Mr. Robert Anthony Woolery "T" was born March 13, 1952 in Springfield, Illinois. He was the third born to the union of Mr. Robert Wesley Woolery and Mrs. Jennie L. Piphus Woolery.
"T" graduated 1971 from Lanphier High in Springfield, Illinois. He was a studious student whom graduated early due to his academic excellence. Robert enjoyed all kinds of sports, from basketball to football to baseball to boxing…..if there was a game on, he was watching it! Everyone who played Robert at dominoes understands why calling him a champion would be fitting. Robert was exactly that, a Champion! He was a quiet, humble, strong yet gentle man whom could light a dark room with his big smile. "T" was an awesome cook and made sure you had a plate if you were hungry. A lover of smooth jazz, Robert was known for his Kango hats, tapping his fingers and nodding his head to some good tunes. Although he spoke few words, he was always deep in thought. Robert was loved and respected by many…...and will be missed by all!
In 1973 Robert moved to Long Beach, California where he meet Sharon Neal and together they had Keith Teaunt Sample and Mary Renee Woolery. Robert legacy continued when he met Deanna Thompson and together they had Chad Anthony Woolery and raised Brae Jason Tucker. After 32 years with the City of Long Beach as a Heavy Equipment Operator, Robert retired to enjoy his life with his love ones.
Robert was preceded in death by: Mr. Robert Wesley Woolery and Mrs. Jennie L. Piphus Woolery, Robert Wallace Mann Jr., George 'Michael' Woolery.
He leaves to cherish his memories and to celebrate his homegoing -
Grandchildren: Chad Anthony Woolery Jr, Joseph Soloman Bowman, Joshua Keith Sample, Noah Braedon Woolery, JaShaun Kevonn Woolery, Christian Teaunt Sample, Ariyana Inayat Woolery and Andrew Jordan Johnson
