Ruby's Life Story
Ruby Mae Jones of Corona, CA was born Ruby Mae Sandles April 9, 1939 in Madisonville, Texas to Filus and Lorna Lee Sandles.
Ruby sang in church called Grayson Chapel Choir and taught Sunday school in Teague, Texas at an early age.
Ruby moved from Texas to Los Angeles, California when she was in her teens and began working various jobs i.e.; nursing assistant at convalescent homes/hospitals.
She enjoyed having fun, cooking, and her noteworthy dishes were spaghetti, fried chicken, sweet potato pies, and lemon cakes. She loved dancing, making friends, playing dominoes, partying and watching old western shows and movies.
Ruby Mae Jones 76, of Corona, California was called home on December 22, 2015.
Ruby is preceded in death by her parents Filus and Lorna Lee Sandles of Mexia, Texas, eldest brother Louis Sandles, eldest sister Lilian Gillespie and her son Benjamin.
Ruby is survived by one brother A.J. Sandles of Sacramento, California; her five sons James, Edward, Jody, Nathaniel and Jerry, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Ruby will be missed but never forgotten.
