Obituary

Samuel James Macon was born in Long Beach, California to Oscar and Jeanetta Macon on July 22, 1964.

He attended Garfield Elementary and Stephens Jr. High School. In 1983 he graduated from Long Beach Polytechnic High School.

Samuel was affectionately known to his family and friends as "Sam". He loved cooking and his family, but his greatest joy was his love for animals, especially his love for dogs; which led him to pursue a job as a Animal Shelter Technician.

Samuel is survived by his parents Oscar and Jeanetta Macon; sisters Ava Luckett and Tristi Sissy Brown; brothers Leon Brown, Ricky Brown, Marion Macon and Neil Macon; niece Jakara Gaines; nephews Frank Malcom, Herman Brown, Jr., Neil Macon, Jr. and a host aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
