Obituary
Mrs. Shelby Hayman Davis was born October 28, 1938 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Willie Oliver and Annie Moore. Mrs. Davis departed our lives on February 24, 2014 at her home at 3231 Magnolia Avenue Long Beach, CA at 6:45 a.m.
Mrs. Shelby Davis is preceded in death by her husband Louis Davis, Jr.; three brothers Robert Charles Moore, James Oliver and Willie Oliver; seven sisters Daisey Lee Peters Morgan, Shirley Ann Williams, Bessie Oliver Thompson, Mildred Oliver Joyner, Elnora Oliver Watkins, Aretha Oliver and Lucille Oliver.
Mrs. Shelby Davis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend who will greatly be missed. She loved the Lord and was baptized at an early age. She rededicated her life at Westside Christian Church in Long beach, CA. Mrs. Shelby Davis was a Cosmetologist for over 40 years. She served as secretary, treasurer and Daughter Ruler with Victoria Temple No 609, where she received State Presidential Honors. She was a member of the Dunbar Alumni Association in Little Rock, AR.
Mrs. Shelby Davis leaves to cherish her life her son Michael Andre Hayman of Long Beach, CA; three granddaughters Mercedes Hayman of Little Rock, AR, Michala Hayman and Michele Hayman of Las Vegas, NV; grandsons Michael Guss of Phoenix, AZ and Mario VanPelt of Little Rock, AR; one great granddaughters; one great grandson; one brother Norwood Tidwell of Little Rock, AR; one sister Ida Ruth Oliver; nieces Phileta Pumphrey of Las Vegas, NV, Katrina Howard and Travita Wilson of Little Rock, AR and Wanda Jones of Little Rock, AR; great nieces Mahogany Williams of Little Rock, AR, LaTosha Hampton of Little Rock, AR; great nephew James Ulcery of Little Rock, AR and a host of other nieces, nephews and greats of Little Rock, AR and the Hayman, Tidwell and Oliver Families.
