Obituary
Troy Bayliss was born to the union of Sye and Mattie Bayliss on January 17, 1931 in Jefferson, Texas. Troy was the youngest child of 13 brothers and sisters.
Troy was a member of Corinth Baptist Church where he accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at that church. Troy accepted his call to the ministry in the early 1960's. Troy attended Elementary through High School at Judea School in Smithland, Texas. He played Football in High School and College. He attended Jarvis College in Hawkins, Texas. He played Football and was a referee for Basketball.
In the early 1950's Troy relocated to California to join his brothers and sister in Los Angeles, California.
Troy worked as a Long Shoreman for the Los Angeles/Long Beach Port until his health failed.
He loved sports, Football, Basketball and Baseball. He loved listening to sports on the radio rather than T.V.
He was preceded in death by his parents, all of his brothers, all of his sisters but one.
He leaves to cherish his memories one sister Mabel Adair of Houston, Texas and host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
